So the last post was an experiment…. (drum roll please!)
It was a total success! The necklaces are on sale at Dragon’s Lair Austin!
Yesterday we put our Pokemon series on sale! If you have Pokemon Fever (and who doesn’t); head over to Dragon’s Lair Austin and catch them! (Or give me an email shout out and we can ship firstname.lastname@example.org)
We know you have to catch them all! Jigglypuff is my favorite!! I still have a key chain that I “borrowed” from my brothers years ago!
Be sure to check out the Pokemon website for all things Pokemon!
A special thanks to players for making such a wonderful community!
I’ve been playing around creatively and I hope you enjoy!
These have turned into necklaces. My first set and so I started with some variety! Star Wars (of course), Captain America, Dream (of the Endless), and Dr. Who.
The feedback has been nothing but positive and next week I hope to begin selling this set locally. After that I will be making so many more and hope to have some available on-line!
Aren’t they super cute!?
I had a blue suede just begging to be an Elvis shoe; when I saw these blue accented snowflakes and thought Oh Holy Christmas, Batman!
I didn’t want to cover the whole shoe as the suede is just beautiful! So I experimented with spot application. I was hoping that I could make the shapes flow and I think it came out beautifully!
Since I was playing with new elements…
I decided to play with some glitter! I stayed with the color scheme of the stickers and wrote it out!
I think they turned out nice! They’re on display at Dragon’s Lair Comics and Fantasy Austin; go check them out!
Whether you celebrate Halloween, Samhain, All Hallows, or Dios de los Muertos; you’re gonna love the seasonal shoes I played with!
Feast your eyes on this candy!
I used some really great craft paper from Michael’s. To make the heel really POP I made an “art journal” style pumpkin. I have to say I like how it turned out….
For the sides I experimented with vellum and stickers! The vellum laid on so darn nicely that I wish all paper was vellum! The spiderweb look of it turned out to be perfect for the Halloween theme!
The stickers were great! (From Walmart) They added some excellent texture and some of the edges (rat feet) wouldn’t lay down all the way so they give the shoe even more dimension.
I hope you love these as much as I do! If you want to touch them or look at them in person; they are on display at Dragon’s Lair Comics and Fantasy Austin!
